Mack Designer Hardware is a local, majority veteran, and family owned hardware showroom.  Our showroom boasts over 4,000 square feet of high end designer and decorative hardware, from cabinet knobs to door locks and hinges.  Our specialists will assist homeowners, contractors and architects to select the best hardware for their application.  We are growing quickly and need additional sales consultants to grow our brand and ensure a smooth customer experience.  Our showroom is the largest in the area and has one of the best selections of hardware for our customers.  The hardware in our showroom ranges from “plain and simple” to the highest end hardware, featuring designer crystals and high end brand names.  We value hard work, teamwork and want to find talented people to join our team.

Overview

This position is a sales consultant role that will assist retail customers that browse the showroom, as well as answering questions for customers on the phone.  As the candidate gains experience, they will be expected to assist customers on the phone, and build their own loyal customer base of contractors and architects.  Other duties may include assisting with shipping and receiving. The right candidate will enjoy working with customers and problem solving to assist customers with the best functional hardware for their application.  This position will start out as a part time position, but can grow into a full time position with benefits for the right candidates.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Great customer service skills
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Approximately 20-40 hours/week to start with flexible schedule
  • Knowledge of home décor/design, locks and functional hardware is a plus
  • Experience with Quickbooks is a plus

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assist retail client in-store with selecting cabinet and/or lock hardware
  • Build strong customer relationships to generate repeat sales and grow your customer accounts
  • Enter orders into ordering system, and track order flow and status
  • Communicate order status with customers and notify them when their orders are ready
  • Assist with shipping/receiving of inventory shipments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in sales or a similar field
  • An outgoing and friendly personality, strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish rapport with people
  • Enthusiastic and confident communicator with a great phone and active listening skills

Overview

This position is a warehouse employee role that will be responsible for shipping, receiving and checking in inventory as it arrives from various carriers.  This role requires attention to detail and a strong focus to ensure that inventory is received into the system accurately.  The shipper will work closely with sales staff to ensure that customer orders are picked, pulled and packaged properly and accurately.  As the candidate gains experience, they will be expected to assist answering the phone, and eventually will be able to learn other duties, including a sales role if they are interested and the right candidate.  The right candidate will enjoy working with others, and have a strict attention to detail.  The shipper will also assist with ensuring the warehouse inventory is organized and stored in the proper locations and will assist the General Manager with other duties as required.  This position will start out as a part time position, but can grow into a full time position with benefits for the right candidates.  The position may require making occasional deliveries to customers, but not as a routine occurrence.  Candidates MUST be able to lift boxes and items up to 70 lbs. on occasion, but usually will be lifting and/or moving boxes up to 50 lbs.

  • Occasional customer deliveries as appropriate
